A stunning example of Thomas Lund's 1838 British patent corkscrew with bottle grips. Marked on the brass
badge "Lund's Patent 57 Cornhill" & marked on the springs "The Queens Patent Granted To T Lund
Cornhill London". The marks on the springs are a bit rubbed. Great working condition with one tight spot
on the internal mechanism. Rack works perfectly. Full length wire helix. All original.  Stunning dark patina. It

A rare variant of an 18th century double folder corkscrew.
Steel, beautiful formed with banding & faceted detail on the
spine & shank. The cyphered helix is recorded in Giulian &
Peters pocket corkscrew book & is extremely rare to find on
these pieces. The overall condition of this corkscrew is
excellent & it boasts a deep, dark patina from 200+ years. It

patina. The mechanism doesn't operate
smoothly & one of the pillar pulls away
