Sons 1888 English patented double
lever corkscrew.  It measures just over
6" & has just light wear & a good
amount of the original copper paint.

patented in 1802. This one has a patent
badge, depicting a lion & unicorn. It's
marked in latin "Dieu Et Mon Droit" & "Honi

in 1802. It has a patent badge depicting a
Lion & Unicorn & is marked "Ne Plus Ultra"

mal y pense". Works well, some staining &
minor chips to the handle. It measures 6 3/4
closed & 10" fully extended.

The Empire Corkscrew
A very good example of Neville Heeley's 1890 English patented
corkscrew - The Empire. It was manufactured by James Heeley & sons
& is clearly marked on both sides "The Empire, J. Heeley & Sons
Patent". It boasts a good amount of the original copper coloured paint,
works perfectly with a strong catch which is very often loose & has a full
length wire helix. It measures 6 1/4" closed & 3 1/2" open.
