| Wooden direct pull corkscrews which incorporate a dusting brush are fairly common. You'll find very simple 20th century designs from around £20.00, which increases for older examples with more interesting handles, shanks or with makers stamps or markings. If you find a wooden direct pull corkscrew with an empty hole where the brush is missing. It's your choice whether you choose to replace the brush or not, basically it's a matter of preference. A good bristle paint brush will help do the job if you decide you want to do so. Corkscrews with a foil cutter are harder to find & you'll have to dig deeper in your pocket if you want one. Around £50.00 would be the benchmark for a plain example. |
